A little bit about me,

 

My love of good food started in my Mother’s kitchen in North West London. I wanted to know exactly what she added and exactly how much to achieve such beautiful flavours in that pot of Jollof.  I followed this passion all the way by enrolling into culinary school and studying while working at the Hilton Metropole as an apprentice chef.

It was in the pastry kitchen, working under some brilliant chefs that I developed a wide eyed love for Patisserie. The complexity of flavours, the precision and the creativity of the pastry world I adored.

I continued to hone my craft and knowledge working in some fantastic establishments in London such as The Hilton Metropole, Compass uk and Ireland, Restaurant Associates, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Coutts bank, Alison price to name a few.

 

Fast forward 16 years to now my love for the art of Patisserie has only grown and developed as has my cake style.

 

I started Rashida’s Patisserie so that I could continue to share my love for mouth watering, show stopping celebration cakes while being able to spend more time with my children.

 

When it comes to my cakes I like to focus as much on the taste as I do the the aesthetic.

The aim is always to help you create beautiful memories with a cake that starts conversation for all the right reasons.

 Its more than just a cake.
